Description

The SunSDR2 DX is the smallest 100W HF/VHF SDR Gen6 transceiver, packing independent DDC/DUC RX/TX paths and contest-grade performance into a compact, expedition-ready design for DXpeditions and home stations. The upgraded hardware design coupled with the ExpertSDR2/3 software makes this high-performance SDR transceiver an outright base station for any DXpeditions and home use.

Key Features

  • Ultra-Compact 100W Design: Delivers 100W on HF, 80W on 6M, and 8W on 2M in the smallest form factor of its class, with active cooling and an upgraded power supply system for rock-solid operation anywhere.
  • Pristine TX Performance: TX IMD3 ~37 dB across all HF bands at full 100W output; dedicated HPF for VHF (100 MHz) and LPF for HF (70 MHz) eliminate strong out-of-band interference.
  • Enhanced VHF & Audio: New PGA103+ VHF LNA chip for improved VHF sensitivity; built-in 24-bit stereo audio codec (CS4272) with 114 dB dynamic range.
  • Native External ATU Support: Dedicated connector for the AAT-100 automatic antenna tuner.
  • Advanced Antenna Switching: 2 HF + 1 VHF (Mini UHF) antenna connectors with built-in support for predistortion—no external devices required.
  • Multi-Receiver Capability — 2 software RXs plus SubRX for each (4 slices total), plus an independent wideband bandscope up to 80 MHz.
  • Ultra-Low Latency CW — Monitoring delay in CW mode of approximately 2–3 ms.
  • Flexible Remote Operation — Connect PTT and CW key to the E-Coder panel; microphone and E-Coder link to a remotely set up PC for full remote control.
  • Seamless Software Integration — TCI interface for direct connection with popular third-party software; professional TX processing module with advanced voice tuning.
  • External Device Control — ExtCTRL connector with 8 powerful open-collector keys; ALC connector for external power amplifiers; 10 MHz external reference input.
  • Expandable RF Architecture — DAC OUT (SMA) for signal generator use; ADC IN and RX OUT (SMA) for inserting external filters in the RF path; support for VHF transverters.
  • Flexible Operating Modes — SO2V support, full-duplex and half-duplex modes.
  • Built-in Metering — Internal power meter for HF and VHF bands plus SWR meter for HF.
  • Fast Network Connectivity — Ethernet LAN interface for a reliable, high-speed link to your PC.
